Girl Scouts – Mt. Wilson Vista
Council is pleased to host the Make It a Hit Cookie Extravaganza, a fun, media-friendly event that will help kick off the
start of booth sales and create visibility about the Cookie Program in the community. The event will be held at Paseo Colorado
on Friday, Feb. 29, 2008, from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. in partnership with the California School of Culinary Arts Baking Club, Paseo
Colorado and celebrity judges. Last year, we teamed up with the California School of Culinary
Arts Baking Club to create a 63-inch Thin Mint. This year’s event will feature additional exciting activities that celebrate
the spirit of Girl Scouts and the Cookie Program, America’s leading business and economic literacy program for girls.We’re
looking for energetic Girl Scouts and adults interested in being a part of the event! - Help
chefs put the finishing touches on a 60"+ Samoa Girl Scout Cookie.
(Girls only)
- Work
with sister Girl Scouts, chefs, & engineering experts to design and build the “World’s Tallest Cookie Tower.”
We’re attempting to break the Guinness World Record! (Open to Junior, Cadette and Senior Girl Scouts!)
This project will also include two planning meetings. The first meeting will be held on Feb.
19 at 6:30 p.m. at Paseo Colorado in Pasadena (near Garfield Promenade). The meetings are not mandatory, but girls are encouraged to attend to meet the engineers
and contribute to the planning process.
Tower construction will begin
in the evening on Thursday, Feb. 28, at Paseo Colorado and begin again Friday morning until completed. Some girls will be
required to miss school on Friday. Construction shifts will be determined at the first meeting. - Partner with chefs to create unique Girl Scout Cookie centerpieces. (Girls only)
- Other participation opportunities will also be available. (Girls and adults)

The event is
open to the public. Girl Scout families are invited to stop by Paseo Colorado during the event to support the program and
