Leave
a Legacy at the Montrose Girl Scout Program Center
| The
next few months will be the last opportunity for you, your family, or your troop to leave a legacy at our Montrose Program
Center or Camp Mariposa. Honor Tiles, Honor Steps, Art Tiles, Picnic Tables, and Trail Benches are still available.
These are wonderful ways to commemorate your current Girl Scout, a former Girl Scout, troop leaders, and/or service unit volunteers.
They also serve as perfect recognitions for Gold Award Girl Scouts! | |
The renovation of the Montrose Program Center is expected
to break ground in June, 2008. This final renovation will culminate the Mt. Wilson Vista Council’s Capital Campaign
which has allowed the council and numerous Girl Scout families and friends to make the world a better place through the San
Gabriel Program Center, at Camp Mariposa, and through the Montrose Program Center. If you have not had a chance to make
a contribution, or if you’ve made a contribution and would like to increase to the next recognition level, you can do
so now. For more information, contact Susan Galeas, Development Director, at (626) 445-7771, ext 312 or sgaleas@gsmwvc.org.
In KIND We extend a very special thank you to Pacific Outdoor Living,
La Crescenta & Sun Valley, for generously donating beautiful paving stones that will enhance the aesthetics of our Montrose
Program Center’s rear landscaping. Our new friends at Pacific Outdoor Living have become true fans of Girl Scouts
and recognizing the increasing cost of construction, as well as our strong desire to renovate the Montrose Program Center
to the fullest, are working to help us raise funds and identify other local vendors interested in donating items or services
to ensure this renovation meets the needs of girls in the Crescenta Valley, La Cañada, and Glendale communities for
years to come. They are truly giving in KIND! Girl Scout friends, families, and supporters have been asking
how they can help! In addition to cash contributions or pledges, there are a myriad of in-kind items that are needed.
If you are in a business that can help with new, donated or discounted items from the list below, or know of a business that
would be willing to help, please contact Susan Galeas at (626) 445-7771, ext 312 or sgaleas@gsmwvc.org.
In-kind

Flooring, Light Fixtures, Paint/Professional Painting Services, Storage Cabinets, Guardrails/Handrails, Trex Decking, Picnic
