Make
a difference in the life of a girl. Help them build enthusiasm for science and math, explore cutting-edge technology careers,
and successfully face challenges like illiteracy and drug abuse.
Our
volunteers, camps, staff, and programs are committed to the Girl Scout Mission of building girls of courage, confidence and
character, who make the world a better place. We invite you to partner with us to continue providing the best Girl Scouting
experience possible for nearly 9,000 girls of all ages and diverse backgrounds from throughout the San Gabriel Valley and
Los Angeles County.
With your support, Girl Scouting will be there for an ever-increasing number of girls, some
of whom may not otherwise have the chance to participate, and for future generations.
The future of Girl Scouting
also includes providing program opportunities for girls typically unable to participate in the traditional troop. Girl Scouts
- Mt. Wilson Vista Council leads the way in Los Angeles County by serving approximately 2,000 girls from low-income families
through its Community-Based Programs.
Ways You Can Support Girl Scouting An outright gift
of cash, stock, or personal property can be put to immediate use wherever the need is greatest. One of the benefits
of donating appreciated stock is the donor avoids capital gains taxes on stocks that have been held for more than one year
but receives the tax deduction for the full value of the stocks at the date of the donation.
You may also choose
to make a memorial gift commemorating a friend or loved one, or a gift of celebration, recognizing an important graduation,
anniversary, or other event.
How will your donation to Girl Scouting be used? We will put your donation to work
to meet the most urgent needs of girls. Be assured that your donation will definitely have an impact on the life of a girl
in our community. For example: |
